Real Rivals: HTC Rezound vs iPhone 4S

Of course, iPhone owners and fans say that the iPhone is superior. But how do these two high-end smartphones REALLY stack up??

First let’s look at specs.

HTC Rezound vs. iPhone 4s Specs

  • Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, which will updated to ICS later on
  • Dual Core 1.5 GHz processor
  • 16BG of internal storage
  • 4.3 inch LCD HD display
  • 8 Megapixel camera with flash
  • 1080 full HD video
  • 1 GB memory
  • 4G LTE

Now, let’s look at the Apple iPhone 4s…

  • iOS 5.0
  • dual-core 1Ghz processor like the HTC Rezound
  • Internal storage from 16 GB to 64 GB
  • 3.5 inch Retina display
  • 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash
  • 1080p Full HD
  • 512 MB memory

From this comparison, it seems that the HTC Rezound may have the upper hand. The Rezound does have better display than the iPhone. Apple used to have the highest pixel density and resolution at a very small display. But now, the HTC Rezound is slightly beating the iPhone in display quality.

The screen is also almost an inch bigger on the HTC Rezound.

The main advantage the HTC Rezound has over the iPhone (or any phone) is…

You guessed it! The Beat’s Audio optimized hardware and accompanying Beats headphones. The headphones have a heavy price tag on their own. So good thing they come with the phone itself.

But the iPhone is still winning the HTC Rezound vs. iPhone battle!

The iphone is lighter to carry and is thinner. It also has a 64 GB model, which allows for 4 times the storage space of the HTC Rezound. The iPhone also comes with an advanced voice recognition system (called Siri), that is much smoother and better functioning than Android devices.

Will iPhone users ever cross over and start becoming HTC Rezound customers? Probably not, but  is HTC Rezound is at the forefront of “iPhone killer phones”.

Here is a first look at the HTC Rezound with Beats audio:

Hi this is Michael Oryl of mobileburn.com. Take a look at the new beats audio equipped HTC Rezound from Verizon Wireless 4G LTE devices. These are the 4.3 and 720p HD display. It’s the first that HTC has put on a device.

For an android gingerbread right now HTC and Verizon said that ice cream sandwich android corporate will be a double for the beginning of the year but it didn’t say particularly when. It has a dual core 1.5MHZ processor with a 1GB of RAM so a lot of HP in there.

It has 16GB of internal storage and 16GB of Micro SD Memory card included. Also comes with custom Beats audio headphones. A High end HTC camera in it, we can load that up. It’s an 8 megapixels unit by basing on the devices like Amaze 4G by Team mobile. It supports a 1080p full HD video built in effects in editing. It is all around snappy to use.

beats audioYou can see it focusing where I’m just playing around with it. It has a dual LED flash. You can see it does a pretty good job of exposing. I’ll take another sample picture here. See it’ pretty nice, it’s not over expose or anything like that. It’s really doing a pretty good job concerning the circumstances.

It has the latest version of HTC sense as you can see. See some of the scrolling effects. Also you notice the power download display, power button up at the top. The other shortcuts are on the hands free. Not too much other than the Micro USB connector on the left hand edge. The right hand edge we have the volume control, of course the power and the headphone jack on top. Click here for the full HTC rezound review.

On the bottom is the 5.3 mm battery cover and the microphone pin hole. Here you can see the real cover of the device. It has a translucent red back plastic. It’s really cool. You can see some of the internal components. HTC has been doing this kind of stuff with the red, yellow plastic inside the interior for a while. This is the first one I see with the translucent, really awesome.

You’ll see there’s the greatest invention, 16GB Micro SD memory card in there as well. So here’s the music player, I want to show you the ability enable/disable the beats audio support. There’s the Beats logo on the top notification area is now great out. It comes back on when you re-enable it, so you can turn on the beats effect which includes the audio quality.

Here you can see a video playing a full HD display. This is amazingly sharp. It looks really awesome. I like the music player, the beats audio setting is also available when you’re playing video. HTC Rezound Hands On

Hi guys! This is Stan. I’m here at HTC’s event in New York City. I’m with the HTC Rezound, Verizon HTC’s newest 4G LTE devices. It has Beat audio included. On the back side you can see the 4G LTE beats audio the dual flash 8 Mega pixel camera.

As you can see the red lines they look awesome. Definitely cool feature and sense 3.5 android 2.4. My first taste of sense 3.5, it’s not bad. I can’t really make any judgment right now because it’s my first time playing with it. As you can see all the shortcuts up here in the notification bar, it’s very snappy.

1.5 GHZ dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage with 16GB Micro SD card. No ports, no HDMI or anything which is unusual for HTC. Power button top right, volume rocker on the right hand side and no fix hand-engraving that’s about it. It comes out November 14th at $299.99 on contract. It comes with headphones or ear buds. The following HTC Rezound review video is from Android central. Andrew takes a look a the latest phone from HTC, the HTC Rezound.

Hey everyone Andrew for Androidcentral here we are for an HTC Rezound review. It’s available on November 14th, $299.99 on contract onVorizon Wireless. This is the latest phone from HTC on Verizon Wireless.

The thing you will notice first is the 720p display, 4.3 inches and looks really nice. Trust me on this one. Really bright, super crisp and it’s definitely the way of the future for the displays. It’s the same one that we’re going to see on the Galaxy Nexus so get ready for that. Note: you can also see the HTC rezound specs here.

HTC Rezound Review – Beats Audio

htc rezound reviewThe star of this event here is beats audio. HTC is really proud of it, it sounds really great. You can’t really tell, so have to check it out yourself on any of their phones right now or on November 14th on the Rezound. Like I said the sound is really nice.

It is a 1.5 GHZ dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB total storage, 16 internal and 16 in Micro SD card. Ship with gingerbread which is kind of disappointing but HTC made it very clear today. It’s getting ice cream sandwich as soon as possible. They made it seem like they are already working on it, so we look forward to that.

HTC Rezound Review – 4G LTE

As you can see, I almost forgot, the 4G LTE. Verizon’s LTE is best in the market right now, so it’s got back on for it. It will come with Beats headphones in the box, so it’s pretty steep price includes that as well. Other than that, there’s not much to say, really nice phone. You’re going to notice that it’s pretty thick, I don’t know if you can see here.

Because it has that connector on the back, so you might not able to see but it is very thick. Its noticeable thick in your hands, assuming they need to get that big battery in there. That might be a turn off on some people. But it is not heavy, so don’t think the battery means extra heavy because it doesn’t. So again HTC Rezound from Verizon,

Hi I’m Bridget Carey with cNet TV for the launch event of HTC Rezound on Verizon. This is a pretty powerful phone. It can be top of the line. Let’s talk about the HTC Rezound specs.You’re going to have a 1.5 GHz processor. Inside you’re also going to get 16 GB of internal memory and an SD card that has another 16 GB attach to it.
Let’s talk about the screen. This is a 4.3 inch HD 720p screen.

The first time you’re going to see that of HTC. The camera is 8 Mega pixels with a flash and it records at 1080p HD. The camera itself has a few extra little features in it like being able to take action shots really faster. Playback your video in slow motion and the camera’s design to really intake a lot of light more than other cameras. Supposedly you should be able to take some really good shots in low lighting.

It takes a lot of hints from the HTC incredibly in terms of design. It’s kind of curve at the back, kind of soft textured finish on the back with some red highlights. The “b” here is for Beats audio. That’s the big stand out feature on this because they integrate in Beats audio technology so your music is going to sound a little better. It comes with Beats audio headphones.

htc rezound specsYou’ll also going to notice the HTC sense 3.5 which has unique new features. It has customizable icons on the lock screen so I could take it. You’ll just drag right into there and it will immediately open up my messages, mail, whatever I want to put in there.

Also when you’re going to leave here you’ll be able to customize the order of the screen or just drag one and delete it right from here.

Overall I can tell this is a very smooth experience. I only have a few minutes with it but just by looking at some of the videos, very sharp and bright imagery.

Initially it’s very sweet. It comes with sandwich sandwich ready so it’s going to have gingerbread to start but expect and ice cream sandwich maybe at the beginning of next year.

In fact, HTC has invested $300 MILLION last August in Beats Audio to ensure their new phones will be able deliver the HIGHEST music quality available!

What are the HTC Rezound Specifications?
